Privacy Policy — Intentional Culture

The short version

We collect the minimum information needed to respond to you and run this business. We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with anyone outside the small set of tools and people who help us actually run Intentional Culture and A2Agile. If you're located in the EU or UK, you also have specific rights over your data under GDPR — those are spelled out below. That's the short version — the rest of this page fills in the details.

Who we are

This site is operated by A2Agile LLC, doing business as Intentional Culture, based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA. For the purposes of data protection law, A2Agile LLC is the "data controller" — the organization responsible for deciding how and why your personal data is used. Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly to us:

Contact form ("Start a Conversation"): first name, last name, email address, and whatever you write in the message field.
Mailing list signup: your email address.
The culture assessment: your answers are scored in your browser to show you your results. We don't collect or store your answers unless you separately choose to start a conversation or join the mailing list.

We don't use cookies, analytics, or tracking scripts on this site. We don't collect anything about you just from browsing.

How we use it, and why we're allowed to

We use the information you give us to:

Respond to your message and have an actual conversation with you about your situation.
Send you the occasional note if you've joined the mailing list. You can unsubscribe anytime.
Keep basic records of who we've talked to, so we're not starting from zero if you reach back out.

If you're in the EU or UK, GDPR requires us to name the specific legal basis for each of these:

Contact form: processed because it's necessary to take steps you've requested, at your initiative, toward a possible working relationship (Article 6(1)(b)).
Mailing list: processed based on your consent, given when you sign up (Article 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw that consent at any time by unsubscribing.

Where your data is stored

Contact form submissions and mailing list signups are stored using Supabase, our database provider, on servers located in Canada — not the United States. Canada is one of the countries the European Commission has recognized as providing an adequate level of data protection, which simplifies how data can move between the EU and Canada. Our agreement with Supabase also includes standard contractual safeguards for any data that crosses borders.

Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes, ever. The only people and tools that ever see your information are the ones directly involved in running this business and responding to you — namely Tom Meloche and Tom Bellinson, and Supabase, our database provider, which stores form submissions securely on our behalf and never uses your information for its own purposes.

We'll only share information beyond that if we're legally required to — for example, in response to a valid subpoena or court order.

How long we keep it

We keep contact-form submissions and mailing list entries until you ask us to delete them, or until you unsubscribe (for the mailing list). We don't currently run an automatic deletion schedule, but we review what we're holding periodically and remove anything we no longer have a reason to keep. If you'd like your information deleted sooner, just ask — see "Your rights" below.

Your rights

If you're located in the EU, UK, or anywhere else with similar data protection laws, you have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Correct it if it's inaccurate or incomplete
Ask us to delete it ("right to be forgotten")
Restrict or object to how we use it
Receive a copy of it in a portable format
Withdraw consent at any time, where consent is the basis for processing (e.g., the mailing list)
Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority if you believe we've mishandled your information

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and change the "last updated" date above. We won't start using your information in some new, different way without telling you.
